Warrior Weekend

It is encouraging  to see so many marching in the streets. It makes me proud of the city I live in. It makes me want to have a regularly scheduled protest sign making party in my store's classroom. Like, "every Saturday morning is Make Art For The March" and just have it be a recurring free event.  As for me, I've been developing silk screens to fulfill some obligations to people to whom I owe t-shirts (long story but it was a Kickstarter thing) and I'm amazed at my results so far. I'm encountering a few of the typical snags but I've silk-screened before so I'm long over the initial fear.

Last night I prepared a small silkscreen with photo emulsion, to create a t-shirt screen and am satisfied so far. Yesterday was difficult. I felt awful - full of self loathing - all day but so far this morning,...I don't know but I guess chemicals in my head are more balanced. Rain is tapping away at the roof, the sun has not come up yet, I think I will make tuna fish sandwiches for me and Sarah's lunch today and I think I will wear a hat.

I really have to quit inadvertently putting mentally ill people on pedestals.

I put a few hours in tonight, on a comic page, doing some inking and lettering.
